Before every engagement shoot I give each couple a little pep talk, telling them they have nothing to be nervous about and they can do no wrong during the session, explaining that their only job during the shoot is to have fun and enjoy each others’ company.  Sarah and Stephen took that advice and ran with it!  My shutter could hardly keep up!

When the two first started dating they frequently met at Stella’s Coffeehaus on Pearl Street; a delightful and locally owned coffee shop that explodes with character… just like these two, so it was only fitting that we started the shoot there.  That whole area is one great backdrop for all sort of great shots, so we had our way with the area and then headed downtown to a few other sentimental spots that the couple loves, ending in Larimer Square where they just so happened to be having the annual chalk festival… You have to LOVE Denver in the summer time! (or anytime really!)  You’ll be seeing more of this lovely couple after they tie the not at the Wash Park Boat house this September.

There’s nothing more flattering than to be the first to take a growing family’s first family portrait and capture such a special moment in their lives!  Sweet little Carlee Ann is much bigger now than she was in these pictures… I’ve been a blogging slacker while trying to keep up with a bustling fall wedding season.  So now I’m starting my game of catch-up and happy to have Carlee Ann and her melt-you-in-your-tracks eyes lead my blog push.  Carlee Ann rocked an adorable hot pink tutu during her first photo shoot and though she was up all night the night before the shoot, she danced her way through the shoot with minimal fuss.
